Jupiter In Cancer
On Monday, June 9th Jupiter enters Cancer where he will remain for the rest of the year. Wherever Jupiter is transiting through our charts he brings expansion like an extra emphasis of energy, a point of growth. Jupiter is about expanding our understanding, our consciousness, our awareness of self and life, it’s the learning that comes from direct experience, of being involved in the adventure. It’s the expansion of insight from personal discovery. Jupiter is about our authenticity and our truth. There is also a lesson with Jupiter and the possibility of expansion and that is the idea of risk. What attachments are you willing to give up to let something better fill the space? It’s about releasing control over expectations and attachments to outcome, to really participate with the purity of the adventure and be open to all the self-discovery along the journey.
The Cancer archetype is about emotional security and safety, where we feel at home and comfortable/taken care of and nurtured. It also correlates to our identity and self concept; our self-image. It’s how we emotionally integrate our reality, our personal emotional experience.
How many of us really have a direct experience of our emotions? How often are we trying to ignore those emotions? This next year is an opportunity for an introspective pilgrimage of our most sensitive and tender parts.

So it’s important to embrace that Gemini polarity to remember that everyones personal truth looks different, everyones sense of home is different, just because you feel safe somewhere doesn’t automatically mean someone else should as well. These aren’t going to be comfortable lessons actually they are going to be fundamentally uncomfortable. We’re leaning new ways to nurture ourselves, to take care of ourselves in uncomfortable situations. Curating security and emotional regulation through being insecure. Again the factor of risk inherent within the Jupiter archetype, risking comfort for growth, risking what is known for a deeper truth. The better we can self-regulate and self-nurture the greater our ability to trust ourselves and life to enter new situations and experiences.
